Description

Venus Pillow is a mindbending classic. It’ll keep generations intrigued! With an amazing silhouette and super-smooth movement, Venus Pillow generates never-ending excitement.

A modified shape of the classic 3×3 cube, the Venus Pillow still functions just like a normal cube but the centers, corners and edges have been shaped in a peculiar and odd way.

The basic challenge is to scramble the cube then return it to its original state with a solid colour on each of the 6 sides.
But if you’re up for more fun then why not try to make interesting patterns. It’s possible to set the cube so that the corners and middle pieces on each side are one colour and the other 4 pieces are an alternate colour. Why not give it a go?

The Venus Pillow was invented in 2015 by Russian cube designer Evgeniy Grigoriev (Even though the Recent Toys packaging does say the Inventor was Adam G. Cowan who designed the Ghost Cube. This is a packaging error.)
Evgeniy Grigoriev’s is best known for the 3D printed Microcubic puzzle dubbed “Ten Cube” that was recognized by Guinness World Records in 2011 as The Smallest Rubik’s Cube. At 10 mm wide it is fully functional and can be used like a normal Rubik’s Cube. Evgeniy has also made an even smaller hand-crafted cube called the “The One Cube” is a mere 5.7mm. That’s 1/1000th the volume of the original Rubik’s puzzle, and it is fully functioning.

As we know from the V Cube series the pillowed shape is very nice in the hands to play with and the action is smooth. Mefferts version of the Venus Cube is just as good.
This cube features thick, high-quality stickers on a black background. Colours are: Purple, Blue, Yellow, Red, Green and Pink.  The cube is made by Meffert and packaged and distributed by Recent Toys. It has both the Meffert logo and Evginiy’s signature on it.

The IQ Focus of this puzzle is Spatial Reasoning, Logic and Strategy.
